Authentic Real Wasabi™ dried ground powder is valued by gourmet cooks & chefs the world over for the Fiery Taste, Smooth Finish™ that it imparts to dishes.  Real Wasabi™ can be served solo as a condiment or it can be blended with many “Suggest Uses” to create unique and exotic tastes.

Begin by making a “paste” to activate flavors


We suggest always mixing Real Wasabi™ powder into a paste before using it as an ingredient.  Combine equal amounts of Real Wasabi™ powder & water and mix vigorously to the consistency of play dough. Cover and let sit for 7-10 minutes before using to allow the full flavor to develop.   Remember the Chinese proverb, "With time and patience the mulberry leaf becomes a silk gown."


SAUCES and DRESSINGS:   Real Wasabi™’s unique flavor will zing up a salad, marinade or sauce with ease.  A simple approach is to add approximately 10% by volume to your favorite Italian, Ranch or Vinaigrette.


MEATS:  As a barbeque or finishing sauce, wasabi imparts a delicious flavor to steaks, tenderloins, chops or chicken.  It is best used during the final ten minutes of cooking.  Experimenting with Wasabi is fun!  Try it with Teriyaki, Peanut Sauces, Marinades or your favorite barbeque sauce.  Enjoy!


SWEET and SPICY:  For a fabulous and unexpected twist, add Real Wasabi™ Paste to Raspberry, Peach, Strawberry, Blueberry or Mango jam.  The resulting mixtures are incredible on cream cheese and crackers, over Brie.  Thin with a bit of water to make a finishing sauce for tenderloin, fish or chicken.  It is also Delicious with fresh fruit salsa!


POTATOES and VEGETABLES:  Real Wasabi™ easily lends its distinctive Fiery Taste, Smooth Finish™ to mashed potatoes.  Simply fold in the wasabi paste with butter into potatoes before serving.  Also, it is great with vegetables, whether brushed on butter while grilling or blended with mayonnaise.


HORS D'OEUVRES:   One of the simplest crowd pleasers is to blend one part Real Wasabi Paste with nine parts cream cheese.  Serve it direct on crackers or top it with a jam or chutney for a colorful mouth pleasing treat.


BEVERAGES:  If you love a good martini, and appreciate the Fiery Taste, Smooth Finish of Real Wasabi, you will flip over the combination.  Simply add a dab of Paste to your shaker of chilled vodka.  Or, enjoy a world class Bloody Mary adding a dash of Real Wasabi Paste.


NOTE: Since cooking may change the flavor of Real Wasabi™, most chefs prefer to blend it in at the end.
